#TKOBAP presents GALA of young ballet talents and lyrical soloists.
After two months of training in the ballet troupe, young talents touch the #TKOB stage in a GALA with the most representative pieces of the classical genre. Together with young vocal soloists discovered, trained and engaged in the masterpieces performed in the last 4 years.
In the speech that the General Director Mrs. Zana Çela had with the young artists, she said that:
“Tomorrow you have your first show. Some of you, of course, have their first performance and we have tried to give you the maximum, meaning that the stage is at your disposal, you being even the first ones to step on this stage for a ballet performance. But the stage gives great emotions, while also giving you great responsibility. This is why I would want for each one of you to feel as the owner of this stage tomorrow night, to give your maximum in interpreting – why not in creative interpreting – and your maximum in the technical aspect. This show is as special as the times we are facing today. For months, we are going through a bizarre period. It is special as there are no spectators in the hall, but there will be cameras. Although this does not provide the audience that gives us direct, tangible emotions, it has increased our audience. It gives us an online audience, probably many and many times larger in number. I am convinced that together with Alisa, you have received the best possible during these two months, just as I am convinced that each one of you, when they watch themselves in broadcasting, they will understand how much you still have to give in the future.
My wish and the wish of all of us is for all of you to be the leading soloists of the Theater in the very near future, starting with this show. You have undertaken to perform excerpts from the greatest and most difficult classic works, The Nutcracker, Giselle, Raymonda, Coppélia, Swan Lake. Therefore, I think that the repertoire is a highly selected repertoire to test your skills.
In the middle of April, Angjelin Preljocaj’s assistant will come, who will stay in our theater just for you. Mainly for the young artists, but of course for the rest of the troupe as well, to train you for a repertoire that Angjelin Preljocaj wishes to put on stage in our theater as soon as possible, in terms of when this virus is gone.
This stage is for everyone, for all those who are passionate about materializing the maximum of the technical and artistic interpretation. This is a message we, as directors and as opera staff, want to give from time to time. Please come to test yourself, train in our theater and become the artists of this stage. This is a message for everyone: for your friends, for your colleagues, and for everyone else who are certainly not only dancers, but also instrumentalists, singers, and also stage and marketing team. I am highly convinced that you are extremely passionate because it is no coincidence that you started ballet in the fifth grade. Thus, you have been going towards the stage path your whole life. And it cannot happen in a different way. But you have to understand that you have to keep the stage. Enjoy the stage, do your best, and I am confident that together we will have a journey that will never end. Because talent is never ending. I wish you lots of success!”
